DECADEproject partecipated at European Researchers' Night at the EU corner of the event held at Università degli Studi di Messina (IT). Along with the poster featuring, we led a workshop to present an experiment titled: ‘Chemistry for Sustainability: The Artificial Leaf that Transforms Carbon Dioxide and/or Water into Energy Carriers, Solar Fuels.’ Full programme"here".
The first day of the meeting coincided with the ADHOC conference, where UniSMART delivered a presentation titled "The Symbiotic Relationship between Industry and Academia," explaining the key points of the third mission and the Foundation's role in promoting open innovation exchange in the region and in internationally.
The second day was entirely dedicated to the DECADE consortium, analyzing the progress of the various work packages, and demonstrating the project's high level of technology and coordination.

On July 3rd and 4th 2024, Tommaso Francese, EU Project Manager of our partner UniSMART Foundation, co-organized and participated in the Satellite Meeting of the DECADEproject (M48) held at the Venice International University (VIU) on the Island of San Servolo.

DECADE at E-WISPOC 2024
DECADE project supported and participated at the European Winter School of Physical Organic Chemistry 2024 (E-WISPOC 2024). The winter school took place in Bressanone - Alto Adige (IT) from 4th to 9th February 2024. The thematic fil-rouge of the School was proposed to highlight the key role of Molecular and Materials Science for application in three priority areas underpinning the SDGs’ agenda: Energy; Health; Raw Materials. Tommaso Francese, from our Partner UniSmart, introduced DECADE project aims and scopes with an oral presentation on 9th February (attached).
This is the 5th EDition of the School, organized by Prof. Marcella Bonchio, Full Professor at the University of Padua. Prof. Bonchio is involved in the DECADE project, she leads DECADE - WP1 - photoelectrocatalytic cell and is affiliated with the National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology -INSTM.
On Friday 16th February 2024 the M42 meeting of the DECADE Project was finally able to be held in attendance.
One day meeting in the sunny winter of Florence (Italy) where the participants conveyed their enthusiasm for the prosecution of the project activities.

DECADE in the European Union Innovation Radar
Decade project has been selected for the Innovation Radar Platform, a European Commission initiative to identify high-potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation projects. Thanks to the Innovation Radar platform, high-quality projects are visible and accessible to the public audience, informing incubators, entrepreneurs, funding agencies, and investors that can help get EU-funded innovations faster to market.
Moreover, the Innovation Radar platform recognized Decade project research contributes to the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs):
Sustainable Development Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
DECADE - M36 Meeting Date: 6 July 2023 Venue: Barcelona (ES)
This meeting coincides with the Decade Project Reporting Period 2. The Coordinator, prof. Gabriele Centi, started the meeting and the participant partners introduced themselves; then, with his presentation, prof. Centi showed the objectives, deliverables and milestones situation, Innovation radar and general status. The meeting took place in blending modality by Teams Platform to allow the participation of the Partners unable to attend in person in Barcelona.
On Friday 2nd December 2022 the M30 meeting of the DECADE Project was finally able to be held in attendance.
One day meeting in the cloudy autumn of Rome (Italy) where the participants conveyed their enthusiasm for the prosecution of the project activities.

DECADE - 2nd Year Meeting Date: 26th– 27th May 2022 Venue: Hotel Plaza - Catania (IT)
The main objectives of the meeting will be the assessment of the project’s achievements (milestones and deliverables) and a plan for the next year. Decade project started during the pandemic, this will be the first "in-person" meeting that aims to also provide a friendly atmosphere for informal activities and to strengthen the relationships among the institutions, industries and universities involved.
